“In the world, there are a lot of different people that like a lot of different things. Through my art, I can create something that everyone will enjoy.” Julia has created art for as long as she can remember. She has always loved painting and says that she feels powerful when her paintbrush is in her hand. Her work is inspired by landscapes, geometric shapes, designs in books and most importantly God’s sunrises and sunsets. When asked what inspired her to become a DHR Independent Artist, she states: “Being a real artist means creating things in your mind, selling your created work or giving it away and then feeling proud.” Her most prized creation is a painting titled Heart of the Ocean, inspired by a necklace from the movie Titanic. Julia said that the necklace signifies all the beauty of the world squeezed into one small heart. To aspiring artists, Julia says to follow your dream and show your passion through your artwork. It will, without a doubt, become a masterpiece!
