AMPLIFY AUSTIN IS MARCH 1-2, 2023
Amplify Austin is the biggest day of giving in Central Texas, raising $92.8 million dollars over the years for the local community. This inspiring day is called Amplify Austin, but the impact spreads way outside those city limits. During a single 24-hour period, from 6:00 PM on March 1 to 6:00 PM on March 2, 2023 residents across a 7-county region will come together to support more than 700 nonprofits – and Down Home Ranch is one of them!

Over the last three decades, roughly 3,700 people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities have experienced the life-changing programming at Down Home Ranch. Every part of the Ranch infrastructure was built with the mission in mind, from the outdoor wooden dance hall to the cedar log cabins in the Village loop – every piece is necessary for the successful programming DHR offers. Through the years, the Ranch has grown from a barren parcel of land to a successful Texas cattle ranch with 37 buildings, 14 greenhouses, barns, a swimming facility, fishing pond, archery range and more. The offerings these pieces of infrastructure provide is invaluable, but the upkeep and maintenance of a 33-year-old Ranch is daunting. Aging infrastructure costs have continued to eat away at the general operating funds necessary to maintain the high-quality programming offered to those served.
By giving a gift to Down Home Ranch, every dollar will go towards fostering lasting friendships, providing a safe, inclusive environment and fueling a fulfilled life of joy and purpose for so many people with disabilities for years to come.
