“Be brave. Be strong. Be positive.” These were the three things Sonya said being a beauty queen meant to her. She is a proud two-time competitor in the Texas Miss Amazing Pageant, where women with disabilities from across the state compete for the crown each year, taking part in an interview process, talent show and evening gown stroll. Sonya took the stage two years in a row and was crowned as 2017 Texas Miss Amazing Queen! She went on to Nationals and returned a Miss Amazing Princess. She is extremely proud of her accomplishments and loves showing off her crown. If you have dreamed of being a beauty queen, Sonya wants you to know that it is okay to be nervous, she was nervous too. Just always remember that you are beautiful inside and out!
