DHR’s Weekend of Service

“Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” – MLK Jr.

Join us for DHR’s Weekend of Service in honor of the MLK holiday! January 18, 2021, is the 26th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is a federal holiday designated to encourage all Americans to volunteer and improve their communities.

Friday, Jan. 15th – Monday, Jan. 18th we need 20 volunteers each day to help plant thousands of spring color plants, as well as assist in greenhouse cleanup.

AM and PM shifts available on Friday, Saturday and Monday.
PM shift only on Sunday.

If you are ready to help empower the lives of people with disabilities while getting your hands dirty, please contact volunteers@downhomeranch.org

PS – We have developed protocols to make this process safe, including spacing out volunteer stations, requiring masks, sanitizing carts between groups and requiring volunteers who work in groups to be from the same family/household unit.
