ROOTS OF THE RANCH

Our first greenhouse took root in 1993, built side by side with Ranchers whose hard work and pride still shape the space today. What began as a simple structure has since grown into a thriving hub of care, compassion and connection.

Each year, more than 50,000 plants flourish in our greenhouses, from vibrant annuals and hardy perennials to Texas natives, holiday favorites, and lush houseplants, all nurtured with care by our Ranchers and volunteers alike.

TAKE THE RANCH HOME

Visit our greenhouse in person Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or browse our selection online anytime to bring home the same plants and care that make the Ranch bloom year-round.

GROW WITH US

Our plants are available wholesale to nurseries, florists, and hardware stores within a one-hour delivery range. Inquire at gardens@downhomeranch.org to learn more and place your order.

The Christmas season begins in summer when we start growing poinsettias. Our residents and staff nurture each plant in the greenhouse, ensuring our DHR premium poinsettias bloom with at least three large, vibrant stems.
